The Final Countdown! T minus 12 days

Its about that time of Year.. The few weeks before my birthday where I worry that I haven't been doing enough and experiencing enough.  I think Its time for a bucket list of sorts.. These things are the things I want to accomplish before my next birthday after this one.  In life there are many struggles .. to be true to yourself or make other people happy.. sometimes you have to comprimise
I have been through quite a lot of good and challenging times that have made me the person you are reading about today.. Some I'll talk about .. some I won't.

I've been out of the country a few times and have dealt with falling outs with my friends, dealt with job stress and finding out terrible news. One of the worst moments of my life was when I was on the phone with my mom while she had a stroke. I will always remember it.  You can never feel more helpless than being too far away to really help other than yell to my dad to take her to the hospital ASAP.  Its been a year since the stroke and I am happy to report that she is making progress.. Her speech is still improving, She is still working on initiating sentences but my dad has her working on the gettysburg address. Dealing with a stroke is difficult for everyone in the family. Everything changes and theres a new normal. I think the key to coming to terms with it is.. be optimistic as much as you can. Another thing I learned is  even if you don't like asking for help.. sometimes you need a helping hand.. even if its just someone to talk to about what you are going through.

I think the key to staying happy is cherishing yourself and enjoying a bubble bath and some chocolate every so often.  :)

Also.. Does anyone have any idea what I can do for my 25th birthday?
