Just a tad bit of an update

So. Life kinda got a hold of me and wouldn't let go.so many new things happened.
I have been mega busy. planning a wedding and whatnot ....
So as of September 13th 2014 I am now married.  Not too much has changed, I guess thats what happens when you already live with the guy.  We got married in Saratoga and it was wonderful..
I went to NY a whole two weeks before the wedding to finalize all the plans.  Before I left for NY I put in my two weeks at my job. Long story short, they didn't communicate and tell me my hours and they need to figure out a whole bunch of shit.  ( and have a director who doesn't steal files ) but *shrugs* not my problem.  On to bigger and better things hopefully.

While I was in New York I barely had time to do non wedding stuff.  My friends Liz and Liz were AMAZING dealing with me and having breakfast dates. The Wednesday before the wedding Jon got to NY, I met him in Saratoga at the hotel we were staying at for a few days.  I love being in Saratoga and just being able to walk to dinner or breakfast or just hang out and get coffee, so much better than Houston. We picked up his friend Chris at the airport since he was staying with us and then on Thursday we went to City hall and get the marriage license.  That night we went out to dinner and I guess celebrated a little too much ;) The next day was the rehearsal dinner and I had to go back in to Schenectady and get my hair and makeup done. Right about the time I was ready, I got a call that I had to go pick up a groomsmen, so I jumped in the car and got him and we got to the rehearsal a little late but I got there. ;)

The rehearsal went amazing and the food for dinner was delicious. I cant believe that we were that lucky to have such great food. It was really fun to see a whole bunch of Jons family in NY, and it was awesome to see all my wonderful friends.
The next day I woke up and I somehow wasnt that nervous... ( what? ) If you know me I am a super worrier and( whatif-er ?)) For some reason the weather didn't want to corporate and it basically rained all day.  We had to put plan B in place and not get married outside by the pond. A few hours before the wedding I realized the cake cutting stuff and the ring bearers pillow were still at my parents so Jon and I hopped in the car and got them. Oooh boy last minute stress.

When we got back they scurried me off to get ready, since my bridesmaids were already getting ready, (and they handed me champagne)
I had my friends Shae and Bonnie help me with my hair and makeup and they made me look super gorgeous.
Final touches

We all were ready and it was almost 5:30, It was still raining a bit so we had everyone walk us with umbrellas.

It turned out okay because that is a really awesome picture

The actual ceremony went pretty quickly, I didnt want a long boring ceremony and our officiant was fabulous. :) She even added a thing in there about washing dishes. I was a little nervous because  I didnt want to mess up at the ceremony, I knew once it was over I would be able to relax.  I sure was able to relax as soon as we walked into the tent we were handed beers. :P Now the fun begins. and ofcourse more food eating.. ( except we only went to one station and didnt realize that we didnt eat much until 10.  too many people to talk to.
It seemed like everyone else enjoyed the food and had a lot of fun. Everyone was talking to everyone and it seemed more like a family reunion than a wedding, we lucked out.

My friends are terrible and requested MMMbop for me.. thanks guys :) and then they made me dance with them... gah I love them. So much dancing and people grabbing me for pictures.. I had really amazing bridesmaids and Jon had really amazing groomsmen.
they are adorable <3
I am so lucky to have such awesome family and friends. :)

Next post I will actually have recipes.  I have a friend who promised me really amazing recipes for my birthday but he hasnt delivered ... yet.. he better..  ;)

Stay Classy people ;) and keep on coooking!

  1. Sounds like your wedding was a blast. Too bad I wasn't in NY anymore at the time. I would've loved it.
