Bringing back the old days..

Old post from a few weeks ago that I forgot to post here..

I meant to post this last weekend but we ended up having a pretty busy weekend filled with mucho Adulting.. We got curtains for the bedroom window and bar stools for our bar/kitchen table.

We hung most of our pictures and things on the walls so it really looks like an apartment..
I had wanted to bake some of my mothers recipes so I ended up baking one today..
I made lemon bread.. She used to make this for any special meeting that she had at the house.. she even made it for girl scouts..

Right now I am waiting for it to be done baking.. and the apartment smells so good.. If I closed my eyes it feels just like i am transported to my mothers kitchen. I always was so happy when I got home from school and I opened the door and the house smelled like lemons..

I don't have a picture of it but it turned out wonderfully and I am so glad I made it.

now on to the most recent post...

Its been a while since I last posted.. Ive been busy Fallout 4 came out a few weeks ago and I've been playing it a lot.. Its been a pretty great game so far.. I already beat the story but I am still working on the side quests.   Everyone should play it... and now on to the cooking/baking part of my blog.

I have made a lot of recipes lately and luckily I took pictures at least...for most of them.. . Last weekend I made Zucchini bread with Chocolate Chips( another recipe my mother made) It tasted really good.

The next exciting thing that happened to me this week was I was browsing through Instagram and I saw a picture of a really cute Hanukkah House on the Manischewitz Instagram and I liked the picture which In turn entered me into a giveaway to win the Hannukah House and I won it!!
I am so excited to make it.. I have always loved making gingerbread houses and this just makes it soo much better.. Yay Chrismakah !
Cant Wait to make it!

The next exciting thing that happened this week was Jon and I finally used our mixer that my mom got us like 3 years ago.. We didn't have enough counter space in the last apartment to use it.. so finally with this apartment we can use it.  I made the Pumpkin Creme tart filling in it and today I used the mixer to make Sugar cookies... I love sugar cookies..

Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah and we are going to be lighting the Menorah, I'm so glad my Aunt Marsha bought me a Menorah.  Its the second best thing to being with family lighting candles.
