*blushes* Uh.. heres a post.. a year later?
Long time no typey..
Well surprise It is 2019 now, and we moved back to New York. We made two road trips to bring both cars. The first road trip we looked for apartments and the second road trip we brought the stuff that went in the car and the cat.. What a fun road trip that was. the only downside to that road trip was one of the hotel rooms had a hole under the bed frame and we didn't want the cat to be able to hide in there so one of us had to be awake to make sure he didn't. We both took a few hour shifts and had copious amounts of coffee the next day. On one of the days when we were here I had a job interview for an Assistant teacher position in Saratoga. I ended up getting the job and I have been working there for almost a whole school year. I really love working there, I met the best teachers and we get to do so many fun things.
I have been baking things on and off, when I have time to on the weekends. Jon and I are both working now so we use the weekends to catch up on stuff around the apartment and to have a social life.. ( hah jk)
If you are still on board with this blog I promise I will keep updating it. (pinky swear) Keep your eyes peeled for a post on carrot cake cupcakes.. One of my friends wanted a recipe for them and shes like help please? Another thing I am looking forward to is making profiteroles.. I've heard they are fairly easy to make but I haven't made them yet.
Later on tonight I am going to Skype with two of my very best friends. I love keeping in touch with them and discussing what is going on in our lives. Friends have always been very important to me and I vow this year to dedicate some more of my time to live in the moment with my friends and instead of worrying about things in my future or in the past just to be alive in the moment and be thankful for all that I love.
Ending the post with one of my favorite pics from my job. I really love working so close to a park. I t gives me a sense of peace being surrounded by trees and water.

getting the muffin tins ready! |
Another thing that I was excited about this year is planting my garden, while this new apartment doesnt have a balcony it does have some space by the front door. I got a bunch of potting soil and used my label maker to make nametags for my plants :) I planted Basil and Chives and Spearmint and Lettuce and Peas and Cucumbers. The lettuce and the Basil and chives have sprouted already. I love growing plants! I will give you all an update when they get even taller. Lets hope there is enough sun there.

plant babys! |
A few weeks ago I made chocolate chip cookies but I wanted to make them different so I added some banana instead of egg. they turned out very tasty and I already want to make them again. As the days have been warming up I had been craving lemon lavender so I consulted the good ole internet and found the perfect type of cookie to make.. I altered the recipe a little to make it my own and thus my lemon lavender cookies were born. I had to get a whole bag of culinary lavender off Amazon since I couldnt find any at the closest grocery store. Now I have an almost full bag of lavender, I think I might have to make some soap soon or sew a little heating pad. I have a list of things to bake that I jot down on the notes app of my phone and it is getting filled up.. There are just so many things out there to create, so many flavors and textures to try. After I write this post I am going to look at new keyboards and mice, because I have had my current ones for a while and before that they were Jons. Lets get some cute new computer stuff :P
