Back in to the swing of things.

Well. I'm back from Cape Cod and I had a wonderful time.. It was lovely being at the beach, and watching the sun rise. I somehow was the first one awake pretty much every day.  It was a good week to relax but I still made something to blog about.  woo hoo

My mom still is still telling me how good the bananas were.  I want to make them for Jon soon.  They are surprisingly good with red wine.  Perfect dessert if you are trying to impress someone ; )

So after all the fun I had on the vacation.. it still wasn't all fun.. my dad hurt his back and I had to take him to the ER, and my ankle was swollen pretty much the whole vacation.    I need a vacation from my vacation.
I also basically had to drive the whole way back to Schenectady because my dad was taking some pretty heavy pankillers.. fun stuff

So in the last blog post I mentioned my flight was cancelled and I was stuck in Newark.. All I wanted on the flight back to Texas was for it to be a boring uneventful flight.. Well I get to the airport for my flight at 9:40 and United calls me and tells me it might be delayed.. oh boy.. So I'm sitting at my gate and waiting.. it now was scheduled to take off at 10:30 .. and then I overheard someone say the flight was cancelled... CANCELLLED? howww? So I had Jon check the flight and sure enough it said cancelled.  The gate sign still never updated.. It still said it was on time..

While I was trying to figure out what to do United called me and said the flight was cancelled but they re booked me on a different flight at 5:50 the same day. The guy I got my second tickets from said he was surprised I actually got a flight out that day.  yikes..So I went back to my parents and waited until  5 to go back to the airport.. I finally got to Texas at 11:00 at night.  WTF United?


 Well I know the flight didn't get cancelled from weather.. so something must have been wrong with the plane..

So in other news my Aunt Candy gave me a cookbook. Its a Brownie/cake bars book and all the recipes look so good that I might have to make all of them.  So if you get a random brownie or something, its from me :)

now back to finding a job, and doing my laundry from the trip..
