Yesterday was quite the interesting day. I spent most of it doing laundry, washing dishes, cooking and shopping. (such a homemaker) We went to Jon's parents for the weekend so we had lots of laundry to do. oooooh and Jon's mother got us a Rolling Pin. Yay! Now we can actually roll out the Empanada dough Thank you !

I decided to try a new recipe for this week. It calls for the new Philadelphia Cooking Creme. It's called
Crispy Chicken with Creamy Italian Sauce and Bowtie Pasta. I've been wanting to try it out, and since It's a pasta dish I knew it would get Jon's approval. So before I started cooking Jon and I went to the store to buy the ingredients and buy bananas for the Banana bread I'm making today. We tried to look for corn flakes but only found Frosted Flakes. (it made the chicken have an interesting flavor) The recipe was definitely a challenge, at first I was a little frazzled because you had to pound the chicken and I didn't have a meat mallet, so I used our broken bottle opener. It worked perfectly. I wasn't sure if everything would actually mesh together but once I saw the Frosted Flaked Chicken browning nicely I relaxed a little. Then I started making the sauce, the Cooking Creme smelled delicious. Once the sauce was all mixed together and starting to get warm and bubbly I cut the chicken into smaller pieces. We mixed the pasta and the sauce together but probably won't do that again, the sauce is pretty rich and probably tastes better just having a little poured over the pasta.

Greatest Invention ever! |
Somehow over the course of me making dinner I got my first cooking related injury while blogging (Injured while Blogging =IWB. When I started boiling the water for the pasta I guess there was gunk under the burner so I turned It off and waited until it cooled down, apparently It still wasn't cool enough. Awesome! Maybe I need to make a Kitchen First Aid Kit.

Jon and I determined that we will make the pasta again, and I think it earned the right to be in our recipe organizer.
Next time we will look around more for regular corn flakes, and use less sauce.
So the Banana Bread I'm making is..Reese's Peanut Butter Banana Bread!
Recipe Here Sounds Amazing!
