Suprises...
On the 5th Jon and I decided to make Baked Ziti, from a cookbook a got him called A Man A Plan A Can. Its a really good book for guys. We really didnt need too much... Just a package of pasta, some mozzarella cheese and some sauce. You also can add some red pepper flakes, I added a little too much though. But it still tasted really good. So after you pour everything into a baking dish you bake it . Luckily we had a baking dish!
it tasted soooo goood.
So something very interesting happened.
We needed to pick up a few things at the store and as we were walking back to the car after buying food, Jon said "we should make that egg in the hole for breakfast tomorrow" ... For a second I thought I heard him wrong.. Why would he want that?Where'd that come from? I guess he has been reading my blog.. :) Sometimes men suprise you.. you think they aren't listening but then they jump out and say something you weren't expecting..
Jon liked the egg in the hole so much that we had them for breakfast on Friday AND Saturday. Guess we found out something else he likes, thats not Pasta ; )
One of the next ventures in food I am going to embark on is attempting to make Crepes. When I went to France I had some different kinds.. ones with Nutella in them, or savory crepes with cheese or ham. I think I am going to make Crepes with Nutella and bananas because Jon said hes never had Nutella ... Craziness Its amazing.
I hope they turn out okay, hah. Have you ever made Crepes?
It seems every time I update this blog, I'm watching The Chew.. Its such a good show, and I get a lot of recipes from it. Maybe I'll get a recipe for tonight
I finally Figured out what to make for dinner.. We ended up consulting with the recipe organizer and settled on Shepard's Pie. It was soooo delicious. I think we might have to make it more.
If His face was in the picture he would be smiling because I'm sure he REALLLY liked it. He looked pretty happy.
BTW- When I was at the store I bought Nutella ( yess)
